The Best Choices Books: Part 4

Hello everyone! I figured it was time for me to make another blog post talking about my favorite Choices books. I've been a VIP member since the program was rolled out which means I've worked through quite a few of the books in their library. I have adored reading the VIP stories with the exception of one - not bad considering their current lineup. In that same vein of thought, I've been even more excited since they announced an upcoming VIP book in August, Shipwrecked which sounds so cool. They've also hinted at a zombie book recently that I've been dying for since I started using the app. I'll surely be featuring them on my blog upon their release.
With that, let's get into the stories.

Slow Burn - VIP

Description: You're traveling the globe on a cooking show! Will it heat up in the kitchen with a hotheaded, passionate chef... or will it all burn down in flames?
Genres: Romance, Adventure
Slow Burn is the newest addition to the VIP library on Choices having just been completed at the time I'm writing this. It is a romance book revolving around your character working on a cooking show. I was beyond excited for another VIP exclusive book to be released since I hadn't been a fan of the last one, Wolf Bride. I can say wholeheartedly that it delivered on everything I was promised and more. I was beyond grateful for a VIP book that I actually ENJOY reading as it's being released.
The character art and design in Slow Burn were my favorite part. Sometimes it feels like Choices CAN, not always, skim over these details when publishing a new story. However, in this one, every character was unique and intriguing visually along with below the surface. The outfit designs, which aren't necessarily direly important, took my breath away and had me buying every single one. I think this story was definitely the most stunning in terms of art, characters, and clothing that I've read.
Laws of Attraction

Description: A surprise job offer takes you from your small town law firm to New York’s most prestigious firm. Can you handle the highest levels of law… and love?
Genres: Drama, Romance, Contemporary, Adult
I had incredibly high hopes for Laws of Attraction, and it didn't disappoint. I'm eating up every scrap of this story with the weekly releases. It recently came back from a break and I couldn't be happier. It's the book I find myself most looking forward to at the moment. Between tough legal cases, rivalry, and romance, this book has a little bit of everything for any reader. And I, personally, can't get enough.
Laws of Attraction is a drama-filled romance novel that ranks right up there with Open Heart in my opinion. I love its career focus in an interesting field. The book does focus less on the romance than I'd usually prefer, but honestly, I'm too busy enjoying the ride to care. This means fewer spicy scenes for certain love interests but the story more than succeeds in keeping you hooked from the start as a small-town lawyer to big-city hot-shot.
My Two First Loves

Description: Your senior year of high school starts tomorrow. Can you work up the courage to tell your best friend you’re in love with him?
Genres: Romance, Comedy, YA
Okay, so I know My Two First Lives has been completed for ages but I haven't made another post talking about my favorite Choices books since then. My Two First Loves was the epitome of a love triangle romance. It had daily releases that were a fun little dose of choices aside from their main posting days of Wednesday and Friday. I actually hope that at some point they'll create another book like this with more frequent releases and shorter chapters.
My First Two Loves was everything I love about Choices' books. It harkened back to the days of The Freshman which was the first release I really got into on the app. The story was cute, fun, and almost nostalgic as you relive your younger years, or in this case high school. The daily releases always left the reader on a cliffhanger that had me anxiously waiting for the following day. I think getting to read it every day for a long time, as there were more chapters, deepened my connection to the characters.
