Romance Novel Couples As Taylor Swift Lover Lyrics

Hello everyone! Since finishing my characters as folklore/evermore lyrics, I've been wanting to go back to Lover which is another one of my favorite albums from her discography. Cornelia Street is one of my favorite songs she's ever released, period. I decided this time I would assign lyrics to popular couples from books such as Red, White, & Royal Blue and Twisted Emotions by Cora Reilly. In this post, the lyrics will define how the character they are attributed to views their relationship or partner.

Red White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston

Description: First Son Alex Claremont-Diaz is the closest thing to a prince this side of the Atlantic. With his intrepid sister and the Veep’s genius granddaughter, they’re the White House Trio, a beautiful millennial marketing strategy for his mother, President Ellen Claremont. International socialite duties do have downsides—namely, when photos of a confrontation with his longtime nemesis Prince Henry at a royal wedding leak to the tabloids and threaten American/British relations. The plan for damage control: staging a fake friendship between the First Son and the Prince.
As President Claremont kicks off her reelection bid, Alex finds himself hurtling into a secret relationship with Henry that could derail the campaign and upend two nations. What is worth the sacrifice? How do you do all the good you can do? And, most importantly, how will history remember you?
Alex: You know I love a London boy // I enjoy walking Camden Market in the afternoon // He likes my American smile // Like a child when our eyes meet, darling, I fancy you - London Boy
Henry: Saying goodbye is death by a thousand cuts // Flashbacks waking me up // I get drunk, but it's not enough // 'Cause the morning comes and you're not my baby

After by Anna Todd

Description: Tessa is a good girl with a sweet, reliable boyfriend back home. She’s got direction, ambition, and a mother who’s intent on keeping her that way.
But she’s barely moved into her freshman dorm when she runs into Hardin. With his tousled brown hair, cocky British accent, tattoos, and lip ring, Hardin is cute and different from what she’s used to.
But he’s also rude—to the point of cruelty, even. For all his attitude, Tessa should hate Hardin. And she does—until she finds herself alone with him in his room. Something about his dark mood grabs her, and when they kiss it ignites within her a passion she’s never known before.
He’ll call her beautiful, then insist he isn't the one for her and disappear again and again. Despite the reckless way he treats her, Tessa is compelled to dig deeper and find the real Hardin beneath all his lies. He pushes her away again and again, yet every time she pushes back, he only pulls her in deeper.
Tessa already has the perfect boyfriend. So why is she trying so hard to overcome her own hurt pride and Hardin’s prejudice about nice girls like her?
Unless…could this be love?
