Bae Crate November 2020 After Hours Unboxing
Updated: Nov 26, 2020
*Spoilers for November 2020 After Hours Bae Crate Box*
Hello everyone! The November box was my first Bae Crate in a few months and honestly, I was super pumped for it. Given that Bae Crate is the only romance book subscription I know of, I'm always wanting my next fix. Anyone who knows me knows I'm addicted to the romance genre which makes Bae Crate perfect for me. Aside from Fairyloot, I probably get their boxes the most.

I'm always a fan of Bae Crate boxes whenever I get them, usually any time a theme intrigues me. And the theme for November definitely caught my attention with its title "After Hours" all about the darker side of romance and seduction. Once they announced the book heat rating on their instagram, which they do every month, was maximum, I was totally ready for them to take my money.
Now, it's time to get into the unboxing. Proceed at your own risk of spoilers. You have been warned.

Featured Book Of The Month: Follow Me Darkly by Helen Hardt
Personally, the reveal of Follow Me Darkly by Helen Hardt is what sold me on buying the box. It sounds like an amazingly dark and edgy read in the romance genre which is my preferred type. I want everything that this book was pitched as and my swooning heart can't handle it. I seriously can't wait to dive in.
Features couple art by @rolins on instagram.
Synopsis: he’s a take-charge woman. But he’s a master of control.
Skye Manning knows what she wants. Her job as assistant and photographer for a major social media influencer isn’t perfect, but it’s a rung on the ladder to bigger and better things. She’s confident she’ll one day take feature photos for National Geographic.

Self-made billionaire Braden Black didn’t get where he is by taking no for an answer. When a chance encounter with the refreshingly innocent and beautiful Skye piques his interest in more ways than one, he’s determined to make her submit.
Dating a billionaire soon has Skye in the middle of a Cinderella story…until the clock strikes midnight and Braden reveals his dark side. Heat sizzles between them, and Skye finds herself falling hard.
But Braden Black is no Prince Charming, and his dark desires are far from his only secret.

Item 1: Handcuff Bracelet
I think the title for this one says all that needs to be said. The bracelet is meant to draw a low-key connection to the steamier nature of the featured book. I really like this item because I can wear it and have it remind me of my bookish love of romance novels without having to blush whenever someone identifies the symbol. It's super cute and great for casual wear. I can't wait to wear it when I'm out and about - though I'm not doing that as much since COVID.

Item 2: Felt Bookmark
One general rule of thumb for a bookworm is that you can never have too many bookmarks. It's a philosophy I live by and I'm sure many of you agree. The bookmark included in the Bae Crate box is such a nice and smooth felt material. It features the saying Read Between The Lines. I absolutely love the design of it from the lettering to the materials it's made from. It may be officially one of my new favorite bookmarks because I don't think I have one quite like it which says a lot given my vast collection.

Item 3: Jewelry Tray
There's not much to describe with this item. It's a heart-shaped, black jewelry tray which was a great inclusion to go alongside the bracelet. I like the coordination there between the two. The design is pretty simplistic and straightforward which isn't a bad thing at all. I'd say this item is understated and very to the point for its purpose. I definitely have so much jewelry and this will be perfect for keeping it inside.

Item 4: Skull Ice Tray
Okay, I really love the skull ice tray included in the box. I was under the impression for some reason that it would be small but it's actually a really good size. Pleasantly surprised is how I'd sum up my feelings to find it way bigger than anticipated. I actually did a tiny experiment before writing this blog post to see if it would work and it does. I've since been showing everyone in my household how cool my skull ice cubes look. Honestly, I'm just unexplainably giddy by this item.
(As you can see my kitten Steven was very intrigued by this item too.)

Item 5: Sleep Mask
I'm pretty sure Bae Crate has included sleep masks in their boxes in the past - not that I'm complaining. I really enjoy these kinds of items that are useful, cute, and bookish. I get Bae Crate boxes exactly for these kinds of items. I think items like this are what separates them from the more fantasy leaning boxes in design. I definitely just think a sleep mask pairs so well with the romance genre Bae Crate features.
Item 6: Ebook of For Sir by Rachell Nichole
Each Bae Crate box, along with the monthly book, comes with a free ebook. Their sister company Fae Crate also does this, I believe. I received mine to be redeemed from my email and was beyond excited to get it. The book very similarly corresponds with the monthly theme which I enjoy as someone who usually buys the boxes based on that theme. And the idea of getting two books for one box, even in different formats, is very appealing.

Synopsis: Can she submit herself for love?
Syneca’s trust fund is drying up, and soon the Foundation that helps homeless LGBTQ+ youth will be out of money. A friend suggests a charity auction to get her back in business, but there’s a catch.
They’ll be auctioning off submissives to the highest bidder.
The two things she never counted on? Wanting to be one of those bought submissives, and Jensen Elmwood offering $1,000,000 to purchase her for the night. They have a brokenhearted past she's not eager to relive but the boy next door is a temptation she can’t resist.
Except Jensen is all grown up now. He’s all man. All Dom. And when he asks her to be his, she can’t resist the temptation. Can she trust Jensen to dominate her heart a second time or will he prove to be the same heartbreaker he used to be?
