Bae Crate February 2021 When Love Speaks Unboxing

Hello everyone! Today I'm here with an unboxing of the February 2021 When Love Speaks Bae Crate. This is the romance box also owned by Fae Crate. If you aren't aware, it has been announced that Bae Crate will be closing down in April of this year with them having announced their final theme. I initially planned for my last box from them to be late last year, but I actually won their Instagram photo challenge which comped me the February box. It gives me one final chance to do another unboxing for their crate as a farewell to a box I've gotten fairly frequently over the last couple of years.

This box doesn't come with as many items as usual it seems and it is a bit chaotic so pardon any gaps in information.

Featured Book of The Month: Much Ado About You by Samatha Young

I usually know a lot about the featured book of the month before purchasing, but I went into this one blind since I won the box for free. I am, however, excited by the idea of Much Ado About You by Samantha Young. It sounds like an adorable holiday-esque romance novel that I can't wait to pick up. The book comes with a signed bookplate and author letter as with all other Bae Crate boxes.

Description: At thirty-three-years old Evangeline Starling's life in Chicago is missing that special something. And when she's passed over for promotion at work, Evie realizes she needs to make a change. Some time away to regain perspective might be just the thing. In a burst of impulsivity, she plans a holiday in a quaint English village. The holiday package comes with a temporary position at Much Ado About Books, the bookstore located beneath her rental apartment. There's no better dream vacation for the bookish Evie, a life-long Shakespeare lover.

Not only is Evie swept up in running the delightful store as soon as she arrives, she's drawn into the lives, loves and drama of the friendly villagers. Including Roane Robson, the charismatic and sexy farmer who tempts Evie every day with his friendly flirtations. Evie is determined to keep him at bay because a holiday romance can only end in heartbreak, right? But Evie can't deny their connection and longs to trust in her handsome farmer that their whirlwind romance could turn in to the forever kind of love.

Gold Necklace

We're starting off lukewarm with the gold necklace. The word that comes to mind to describe it is merely alright. I can't say it's anything special or something that was even vaguely exciting when opening the box for the first time.

Ceramic Tea Cup

The Ceramic Tea Cup was probably the best of the items in the box. It is super cute, but also horrifyingly tiny. It's something I plan on adding as a prop for my bookstagram photos because it wouldn't, in my opinion, actually work as a tea cup unless you're planning to just take two sips.

To Glam Or Not To Glam Travel Bag // Hangers

The handbag and travel hangers are maybe the worst items I've ever received in a box. I hate to say this as someone who has loved Bae Crate's boxes in the past, but I don't enjoy these at all. They feel cheap, like something I could have gotten in better quality at the dollar store.

Headband

The headband can work for some people, I think. It's definitely a style preference - and it's truthfully not mine. I've gotten headbands from them in the past that I ended up using a lot but this one doesn't suit me well. I will add that it is very much probably just my personal tastes on this one.

Wrap-up

I can honestly say the items in the Bae Crate February 2021 When Love Speaks box are very basic. It feels like a box slapped together in the hopes that something would accidentally match the theme. I'm pretty lax on box items, but these are, for the most part, a massive disappointment. No designers were mentioned on the spoiler card so I'm assuming nothing except the art was specially designed for the box. I'm going to have to accept my not-so-great sentiments toward the last box I'll be getting from Bae Crate before they close. It has been a fun ride though and I will, overall, miss my only romance box subscription.
